If you are looking for drone racing courses, Drone Racing Africa (DRA) runs a drone racing course that offers a full introduction to First Person View FPV drone racing. Our course provides a healthy balance of applicable and relevant theory followed by practical application, with the majority of each course spent flying on simulators, line-of sight (LOS) drones and most exciting of all, FPV racing!
At DRA, we understand the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) development forming a part of the Design & Technology curriculum in schools, which is why our drone racing course provides a healthy balance of theory learning and practical application.
The theoretical components educate students on both flight theory relevance and the growing application of drones within a global commercial setting.
The practical element of the course focuses on fun while offering a hands-on approach to safe and calculated drone flying, with each graduate qualified to participate and race in DRA series events.
Who should sign up for a drone racing course?
Our drone racing course is designed for school goers aged 8-18 years and takes place over one full day (weekend or throughout school holidays). Classes are kept small and students are divided into age appropriate groups to optimise individual learning conditions. We are also able to accommodate adults, so if you are over 18 and prefer our drone racing course above the Drone Competency Course, please contact us and we will fit you in!
